Fall brings craftiness and lots of leaves!

Tanner and I have had a lot of fun in the last couple of weeks. It started off with us deciding to repaint the room we're going to use for the nursery. It ended up being quite a bit more work than we were originally thinking when we decided to scrape off the popcorn ceiling too! Here are some pictures documenting the process:

Our "before" pictures --

The scraping of the ceiling (Tanner did all the hard work, but I did spray the water for him!)

It's finally all scraped off!

The painting -- we decided on light green and then we'll accent with pink for our cute little girl!

No worries -- I was safe with my paint fume resistant face mask!
And we're done! We love how it turned out!
Besides painting, we have also had TONS of leaves that needed raking in our yard. Last Saturday we raked 17 bags (39 gallon bags) worth of leaves, and that was just from our back yard! We finished up the front yard with 12 more bags last night! That was a tiring, dusty job! But so pretty outside!

It was a beautiful day to be in our back yard!

The scattered bags of leaves.

It's a good thing our town picks up trash from the side of our yard.
Now we just have a lovely display of trash bags until they come!
After spending all day in the yard Saturday, Tanner was feeling like making something crafty for fall, so Sunday we spent the afternoon using vines, acorns, and leaves from our yard to make fall decorations.

A pretty bouquet of leaves from the yard with acorns
filling the vase (you can't see the acorns)

Complete with acorns from the yard and scented
pine cones (not from our yard ;))
Tanner's wreath that he wove from
vines he found behind our house!

Tanner's acorn tarantula for Halloween.

And just in case you didn't know it was Fall, we thought we'd put a sign up. ;)
Sorry for the overload of pictures, but hopefully you enjoyed seeing what we've been up to in the last couple of weeks. We're loving the great Fall weather and are enjoying seeing the leaves start to change. Although we're not excited about all the leaves we will still have to rake!
